Chief Joseph Middle School Science Night

The Chief Jo Science night was the first outreach as the new team 17103. For the first time, 8099 and 17103 were separate and had separate robots to present. At the event, we promoted the FTC program. We also talked about our engineering club and explained what we do. Kids attending the event had the opportunity to drive our robot, and they got to learn the functions and parts of team 8099’s robot. We presented to at least 500 kids and parents. Quite a few of the participants expressed interest in joining a FIRST program after we spoke to them, and we recommended them to take the robotics class and join a robotics club. We hope to continue expanding the FIRST community in the Tri-Cities.
